Halloween is Upon Us!
At Parker Elementary School, we strive to accommodate all students, whether they choose to wear a costume, prefer to observe, or do not celebrate Halloween.
If your child would like to wear a costume to school on Thursday, October 31st, please follow these guidelines:
- Students should arrive at school already dressed in their costumes and be able to wear them comfortably throughout the entire day.
- Costumes must not disrupt the learning environment.
- Students should be able to sit at their desks without interference from their costume.
- Costumes cannot include any face or head coverings (face paint is allowed).
- No fake blood or gooey substances.
- No weapons, including plastic swords, knives, axes, guns, or hatchets.
Students may also choose to wear Halloween-themed shirts, buttons, or other accessories. Additionally, students are welcome to dress as they would on any regular day. Please note that no student should feel obligated or pressured to participate, and there will be many students choosing different options on Thursday, October 31st.
A parade will take place at 1:15 PM, during which students and staff will walk on the sidewalk around the school. Parents and families are welcome to attend and take pictures or videos. After the parade, students will enjoy a classroom celebration before dismissal at the regular time.
Please note: In the event of inclement weather, the parade will be canceled and will not be rescheduled.

¡Ya se acerca Halloween!
En la escuela primaria Parker, nos esforzamos por complacer a todos los estudiantes, ya sea que elijan usa un disfraz, prefieran celebrarlo o no celebren Halloween.
Si su hijo desea usar un disfraz para ir a la escuela el jueves 31 de octubre, siga estas pautas:
- Los estudiantes deben llegar a la escuela ya vestidos con sus disfraces y poder usarlos cómodamente durante todo el día.
- Los disfraces no deben interrumpir el entorno de aprendizaje.
- Los estudiantes deben poder sentarse en sus escritorios sin que su disfraz interfiera.
- Los disfraces no pueden incluir ningún tipo de cobertura para la cara o la cabeza (si esta permitido la pintura facial).
- No se permite sangre falsa ni sustancias pegajosas.
- No se permiten armas, incluidas espadas de plástico, cuchillos, hachas, pistolas o machetes.
Los estudiantes también pueden optar por usar camisetas, botones u otros accesorios con temas de Halloween. Además, los estudiantes pueden vestirse como lo harían en un día normal. Tenga en cuenta que ningún estudiante debe sentirse obligado o presionado a participar, y habrán muchos estudiantes que elegirán diferentes opciones el jueves 31 de octubre.
Se llevará a cabo un desfile a la 1:15 p. m., durante el cual los estudiantes y el personal caminarán por la acera alrededor de la escuela. Los padres y las familias pueden asistir y tomar fotografías o videos. Después del desfile, los estudiantes disfrutarán de una celebración en el salón de clases antes de la salida a la hora habitual.
Tenga en cuenta: en caso de mal tiempo, el desfile se cancelará y no se reprogramará.
